Mixing Method Of Open Mixing Mill



There are two process methods for mixing with an open mixing mill: one-stage mixing and phased mixing.


Twisting operation method and cutter operation method
The twisting operation method is to cut the rubber material wrapped on the roller horizontally and attach it to the front roller. As the roller rotates, the rubber material moves from right to left or from left to right in a fan shape, and then takes the film. One side is vertically thrown into the rubber mixer to mix.


Rolling operation method
This method can be divided into oblique winding operation and horizontal winding operation. The roller pitch is generally 7-9mm. The oblique winding operation is to roll obliquely from left to right. When the accumulated glue on the roller is almost eaten, push the film to the right, and then roll it obliquely from right to left. Repeat this to make the mixing uniform. The horizontal winding operation is to cut the rubber wrapper and then rotate with the roller to roll. When the accumulated rubber is ready to be eaten, the film is twisted 90 degrees and placed between the rollers, and then rolled, and so on until it reaches the mixing requirements. This method has better mixing effect and higher production efficiency, but labor
The intensity is relatively large.


Thin pass
This method is to adjust the roller pitch to 1-1.2mm, let the rubber material pass through the roll gap, and let it fall into the receiving tray. After the rubber material passes through the roll gap, twist the falling rubber material 90 degrees before proceeding. Thin pass. This is repeated until the specified number of times. Then increase the roll distance (about 10mm) to allow the rubber material to wrap the roll and unload the film. This method is characterized by fast heat dissipation of the rubber, less scorching, low labor intensity, and safe operation, but the compounding agent is not easily dispersed, especially along the axial direction of the roller.


Triangle bag operation
This method uses a smaller roller distance (1-1.5mm) or a larger roller distance (2-2.5mm). During operation, the rubber material wrapped on the front roller is cut horizontally, and the left and right sides will be cut as the roller rotates. The rubber material is continuously folded to the middle into a three-pack, and this is repeated until the specified number of times, so that the rubber material between the rollers is continuously folded from two sides to the middle, and then dispersed from the middle to the two sides for mixing. Then enlarge the roller distance (about 10mm), wrap the roller and unload the film. The compounding agent in this method has good dispersion effect and uniform rubber texture, but due to labor
It has high dynamic strength and poor operation safety. Generally, it is only suitable for mixing with open mills below XK-400 specifications.


Oblique knife
This method is to cut the knife on the roller of the open mixing mill at a 75-degree oblique angle with the horizontal line of the roller. At the same time, it is rolled, cut and rolled 8 times at a 15-degree oblique angle, that is, 4 times on each side. The roller pitch is generally 7-8mm. This method has more uniform dispersion of compounding agents and high operating efficiency. However, due to the high labor intensity, the shovel is only suitable for mixing with open mills below XK-550 specifications.


The above-mentioned refining methods of the open mixing mill are often not carried out separately in production, but are usually carried out by several methods.
